Trish Appleton began her career in commercials production and spent twelve years in production companies and advertising agencies as a Producer.
Following a two year period styling photography she returned to commercials and for several years worked with film Art Directors/Designers supplying props and construction features for interior studio sets and locations, street scenes and gardens. These included creating pubs, shops, gyms, laboratories, restaurants and many other scenarios.
Her experience and knowledge of production and styling for commercials has provided a useful and resourceful background to her work in stills photography and she has continued to work in both capacities.
In addition to prop hire companies and suppliers which photographic stylists are familiar with, Trish also has extensive supplier contacts, specialist makers, hire companies and fast turn around services known mainly amongst the Film/TV sector, which she uses when appropriate.
Her photographic work has, to date, been predominately for advertising where many props are selected specifically in relation to a creative idea, composition or target market.
Trish keeps an extensive collection of industry information and reference material and is a keen follower of contemporary design.
Her producing work is not included in this book unless it was also styled. Shots produced and styled are identified next to the shots this applies to.
